Distribution of Corn Seeds and Agricultural Inputs Conducted in Sugpon

Sugpon, Ilocos Sur — November 6, 2025

The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur continues to support local farmers through the provision of corn seeds and farming inputs.

The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur (PGIS), through its Provincial Agriculture Office, successfully conducted the distribution of corn seeds and agricultural inputs to farmers in Sugpon, Ilocos Sur, in partnership with the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO). The activity aims to strengthen agricultural productivity, assist local farmers in preparing for the upcoming planting season, and promote sustainable farming practices within the municipality.

The event was attended by Municipal Mayor Daniel C. Laño, Jr. and Vice Mayor Rene Crisanto L. Lubrin, who showed their support and appreciation for the continuous agricultural assistance extended by the provincial government. Farmers from different barangays received corn seeds and other essential supplies to help improve yield and ensure a more productive harvest.

This initiative forms part of the province’s ongoing commitment to empower farmers and enhance food security in rural areas. With the joint efforts of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur and the LGU Sugpon, local agriculture continues to thrive—paving the way for a more resilient and sustainable farming community.
