DSWD Conducts Study on Basic Services in Sugpon, Ilocos Sur

Sugpon, Ilocos Sur, February 19, 2025 – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 1, through the KALAHI-CIDSS Program, successfully conducted a study today to assess gaps in basic services in the province.

With the support of Mayor Daniel C. Laño, Jr., key local officials, including the Municipal Health Officer, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, Municipal Engineeretc. participated in face-to-face interviews. The DSWD Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) team also visited barangays to gather insights from barangay officials involved in KALAHI-CIDSS projects.

The study aims to evaluate the program’s contributions and identify areas for improvement. Findings will help guide policy recommendations for a proposed National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) project to enhance service delivery in underserved communities.
