Sugpon, Ilocos Sur — March 4, 2026

The Municipalities of Kibungan, Benguet and Sugpon, Ilocos Sur convened to discuss the proposed Town-Twinning Partnership, an initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation and fostering mutual growth between the two local government units. The partnership seeks to encourage collaboration through the exchange of best practices and the promotion of programs in governance, tourism, culture, agriculture, and other areas of shared interest.

The Town-Twinning Agreement has not yet been finalized and is scheduled to be formally signed on March 18, 2026. Once established, the partnership is expected to pave the way for stronger inter-municipal relations and future collaborative initiatives that will benefit both communities.
