Sugpon, Ilocos Sur — July 14, 2026

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office I conducted a Municipal Orientation on the Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP), attended by municipal officials, barangay officials, and civil society representatives. Sugpon was identified as one of the 500 target municipalities for the five-year project, with a total grant allocation of ₱70 million.

The orientation highlighted the project’s implementation process, including risk assessment, the role of the Municipal Resilience Team (MResT), and the conduct of barangay assemblies to ensure active community participation in identifying priority programs and projects that will strengthen local resilience.
