Sugpon, officially the Municipality of Sugpon is the southernmost town and one of the fourteen upland municipalities of the Province of Ilocos Sur. It is a 5th class municipality with a total population of 4,109 people and 892 households according to the latest Philippine Statistics Authority Survey 2022. With an annual growth rate of 1.0154% , the population density is one (1) inhabitant per hectare of land in the municipality. Sugpon is 14 kilometers from Bangar, La Union, its main outlet, 56 kilometers (11 mi) from San Fernando City, and 128 kilometers from Vigan City, the provincial capital.
