Sugpon, Ilocos Sur — July 29-30, 2026

The Municipality of Sugpon successfully conducted a two-day workshop on the formulation of the 2027–2029 Barangay Development Plan (BDP), bringing together barangay officials and key local government offices to strengthen participatory and strategic development planning.

The workshop was facilitated by the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), and the Municipal Health Office (MHO).

Participants were guided through the planning process, including identifying community needs, setting development priorities, integrating disaster risk reduction and climate resilience, and incorporating health-related programs into their respective Barangay Development Plans.

The activity aimed to equip barangays with the knowledge and tools needed to prepare comprehensive, responsive, and sustainable development plans that will serve as a roadmap for local governance and community development from 2027 to 2029.
