TUPAD Program Validation Conducted in Sugpon for Typhoon-affected Residents

Sugpon, Ilocos Sur — November 4, 2025

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Local Government Unit of Sugpon work hand in hand to provide livelihood assistance to residents affected by Typhoon Emong.

The validation for the TUPAD Program Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers is currently underway in Sugpon, Ilocos Sur. The initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sugpon, aims to identify qualified beneficiaries who were affected by Typhoon Emong, which struck the municipality on July 25, 2025.

The TUPAD Program provides short-term employment and livelihood opportunities to displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers, helping them recover from calamities and sustain their daily needs. This ongoing activity highlights the government’s continued commitment to assisting communities in rebuilding their livelihoods and ensuring that no Sugponian is left behind in times of crisis.
